In the Tarrazu region, there are 65 small coffee farmers that hand over their best coffee to the village priest (Padre Ronald), and named it “Father’s Coffee”.
These batches of coffee are premium grade coffee selected by them: quality coffee harvested from higher altitudes and undergoing selection process. Every year the Frailes Township will organize a unique Coffee Festival that will attract scores of people from Costa Rica and foreign visitors.
The Coffee Festival held in January this year, 2014, marks the twelve anniversary of the festival and has once again welcomed the many participants. This very unique coffee, filled with meanings and flavors of this small town on Frailes, is a gift of small families of Frailes in Costa Rica to all the coffee aficionados.
